OUT ON THE ROAD WITH PETER BRUNTNELL

I have a lot of great gigs to look forward to from September onwards - mainly with the acclaimed singer-songwriter (and good pal), Peter Bruntnell.

For all my pals up in Scotland, Danny Williams (double bass) and myself will be playing with Peter in Aberdeen at The Blue Lamp on Wednesday 30th October. Tickets are available from https://www.seetickets.com/…/peter-br…/the-blue-lamp/1420039
Then we head to Montrose the following night, Thursday 31st October, to play The Folk Club at the Links Hotel [NB: there are no advance tickets on sale for this one]. Before that, I'm super-excited to be throwing my pedal steel and Rickenbacker 12-string into the boot of the Astra to hook up with Peter for some shows with his full band (Dave Little on guitar, Peter Noone on bass, and Mick Clews on drums) for a handful of shows down south.

WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE

I'd been thinking about setting up a website for a while but kept thinking it all felt a bit too egotistical and pretentious (even for a flagrant self-publicist like *I* am!).
However, I'm a member of a couple of Facebook "Musicians Wanted" groups and the question "Do any of you on here know anyone who plays pedal steel?" crops up on those every now and again. A couple of old Ayrshire pals (hi John and Alan!) always tag me in those kinds of posts.
So that got me thinking, "When you need to find a tradesman, a local business, or nearest kebab shop, etc., what do you normally do?" The answer is, more often than not, go to Google and ask the question there. So, I figured "Hey! I might as well give having a website a shot so that, if someone 'googles' "pedal steel guitarist Scotland", I might get a call I might not otherwise have got.
